Intentional By Design

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them Eph 2:10. What does it mean to be His workmanship? The Greek translation for workmanship is from the word poiēma, meaning 'that which has been made' or 'a work'. We have been made in Christ Jesus, for Christ Jesus, so that we can do His works.

The great thing about being a workmanship of God is that it is multifaceted. We are first justified, have been made right and have become a new creation once we accept Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Saviour. The second great work occurring is that of sanctification. We are continuously being changed, becoming better, being renewed, sanctified and crafted into His perfect image. Thirdly, there are good works, purposes, plans and ministry tasks the Lord has designed specifically for us to do. You were not an accident, He calls and wants you to be a part of what He is doing on the earth.

My encouragement today is to bask in the understanding of your worth. You were fearfully and wonderfully made, intentionally designed by the Master Craftsman for good works that He wants you to walk in. Enjoy your transformation journey and stay connected to the One who has called you.

Prayer

Lord thank you for calling me, crafting and molding me into Your image. Thank You for having good works which you ordained beforehand that I should walk in them. As I continue to follow You, let me be diligent to the tasks You bring before me. Thank You for intentionally designing me for Your purposes. May You be glorified in my life in Jesus name. Amen.
