One of the crucial things I have learnt about God is that when He says it is so, it is so! The length of time for the manifestation of what He has said, is never a nullifier of what is to be. God cannot lie (Heb 6:18) and because He cannot lie, it therefore means His promises are steadfast, sure and uncompromisable. When Joseph was about the age of 17 he had a dream that his brothers would bow down to him (Gen 37:7). Fast forward about 22 years and the dream is being fulfilled when his brothers come to him for food (Gen 42:6). Twenty-two years is not two years, but the length of time is not a nullifier of what is to be! God anointed David to be king and it took about 15 years for the realization of that promise. First to be a king over Judah and then another 7 years before being king over all Israel. The length of time is not a nullifier of what is to be!
What has God promised you? Some of us have shelved those promises because of how long it has taken for them to be seen. Know that because God cannot lie, it requires us to adjust our posture to align with what He has said, in spite of time. With God, time does not have the same bearing. I have learnt, that because what God says simply is, there is no present and future tense. His Word simply is and it transcends time, because God transcends time. It is us humans who often cringe under waiting for the manifestation, but years is not a factor with God. What He says is.
My encouragement to you, is to rest on the sure promises of God. Let your heart align with what He is saying. Show Him that by faith, you have ceased all that He has said and believed upon all of His promises.
Prayer
Lord, help my restless soul. When I am faint with waiting, quicken my spirit and draw me close to You and Your Word. I thank You that You are faithful, sure and steadfast, an irremovable rock that I can rest upon. Help me to lean on You and know that You will bring to past all that You have said. In Jesus name. Amen.
