In the Bible we see how persons’ lives unfolded after time. We read of Joseph having dreams, to years of imprisonment, then to exaltation and reunification. We see David as a young shepherd, being anointed, fleeing from Saul and then taking up his kingship. These people had real experiences of fear, flight, friendship, sorrows, hardships and redemption.

Years ago as I saw David’s life unfold, I questioned “What is my story? Where am I found in the Book?” I was immediately reminded of two scriptures which from the time I was young, felt there were declarations for me, like “ mantras” over my life. Just as God had plans and purposes for David and Joseph, He has purposes and plans for all of us. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them’ (Ephesians 2:10).

My encouragement to you is to find yourself in the Book. Ask the Lord to unfold His will within your life. Even in the midst of mundane tasks and daily routines, let Him reveal how you are intertwined into His eternal purposes. He has a glorious story which can be revealed through the pages of your life. Let us stay close to Him, let Him write in our lives and find yourself in His Book.

Prayer

Lord, use my life to write Your story. Let the pages of my life reveal Your glory and let me not be dismayed with the everyday tasks. Be magnified in my life in Jesus name.
